The state Department of Transportation, announced in a news release, that Route 309 north of Jackson Street in Kline Township will be closed for two consecutive weekends beginning July 8 for roadwork.
PennDOT press officer Sean Brown said the closure runs from 6 a.m. July 8 to 11 p.m. July 10, then again from 6 a.m. July 15 to 11 p.m. July 17.
PennDOT has released an official detour route for motorists traveling through the area, recommending that motorists traveling north use I-81 or Route 424 to connect back to 309 North, and southbound travelers use I-81.
