Children will now be able to get lunches at the O’Hara Playground in Pottsville.
According to the Republican Herald, the Salvation Army of Pottsville will be running the program.
There was concern over budget cuts that children in the city would not be able to get free lunches over the summer months.
The program will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 18 to July 27, for children ages 5 to 12.
There is no deadline but those wanting to attend should register as soon as possible. Registration is from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at the playground.
