Pottsville police charged a city man, Tuesday, for his involvement in a 2017 crash that claimed the life of 80 year old Charles Maurer, also of Pottsville.
According to the Republican Herald, Police Chief Richard F. Wojciechowsky said 41 year old Chad Bainbridge, was charged with homicide by vehicle while DUI, among numerous other counts and is responsible for the Oct. 12 crash at Route 61 and Union Street.
Bainbridge was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge James K. Reiley, Pottsville, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $50,000 bail.
