Tamaqua Police have cited two people responsible for a mirror smashing spree that took place over the past two weekends in the borough, damaging more than 50 vehicles.
Authorities say 21 year old Dominic Montero, of Tamaqua, drove the car, while his juvenile cousin, used a cane to reach out of the passenger side window and strike side mirrors as they traveled up and down Tamaqua’s streets.
One of the victims from this past Saturday morning’s spree was able to provide police with a description of the vehicle and a license plate number after mirrors were smashed on Brown Street right before midnight.
Officers found the car parked in the 100 block of Spruce Street and had the Hyundai impounded after finding a scratched, dented, cane and pieces of mirror inside the car.
Montero was charged with multiple counts of criminal mischief.
His accomplice faces similar charges in juvenile court.
