A Mahanoy City couple was taken into custody after police said they were responsible for a theft earlier this month.
According to Skook News, the Coal Township Police Department said on June 9th, a man and woman stole $809 from a Pennsylvania Skill Lottery Machine at the Sunoco Mt. Royal Mart in Ranshaw, Northumberland County.
Police were able to obtain security footage from the store and after posting the suspects photos on social media, they received numerous calls identifying the couple. Police identified the suspects as 38 year old Danielle Kapes and 39 year old Chad Benjamin, both of Mahanoy City.
The pair was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge John Gembic and both were locked up in Northumberland County Prison unable to post $10,000 straight cash bail.
