Fire undetermined...

The cause of a fire that heavily damaged a Tremont home Monday night, leaving one person homeless, has yet to be determined.

According to the Republican Herald, flames broke out at 106 W. Main St. just after 10 p.m., bringing firefighters from Tremont and surrounding communities to the scene.

State police fire marshal Trooper John F. Burns of the Frackville station said the home is owned and occupied by Travis Michael, who was in the process of doing renovations.

Burns determined the fire originated in the middle room of the second floor of the double home and spread from there and the exact cause remains under investigation.
