The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating an attempted burglary in Mahanoy Plane.
According to police, someone attempted to pry open a rear door of a home in the 2400 block of Main Street, in the Village of Mahanoy Plane, near Gilberton within the past few days.
Authorities say an audible alarm scared off the suspect. Anyone with information or seen anything suspicious should contact police.
