Make A Difference Day, the largest national day of community service, will be held across the country and worldwide on Oct. 27.
According to the Republican Herald, projects will be welcome that will take place locally within one week of the national date.
Thousands of people and dozens of groups will be volunteering to do projects such as helping a food bank, doing chores for home-bound residents, cleaning parks and more.
Volunteers are asked to register their project to be part of the event by calling 570-628-1426.
