Lansford police have charged Jacob Fischer, of Lehighton and 26 year old Marisa Becker, with no known address, in a June 19 robbery and assault that involved a machete.
Police were called to 16 W. Abbott St. at 4:36am for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, police found Robert Clifford III, covered in blood with visible injuries to his head, back, left arm and both hands.
Clifford identified his assailants as Fisher and Becker.
After preliminary hearings, Becker is in Carbon County prison under $5,000 cash bail, and Fischer was released on $100,000 unsecured bail.
Clifford III was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
