Charges in Dunkin fire...

Charges were filed Sunday against a 13-year-old Shamokin female in connection to a suspicious fire that occurred Saturday night, in the women's bathroom of Dunkin' Donuts, located along Route 61, in Shamokin.

The 24-hour business was evacuated shortly before midnight after heavy smoke began pouring out of the bathroom, located in the western section of the structure.

Shamokin Patrolman Raymond Siko II knocked down the majority of the flames with a fire extinguisher and firefighters who arrived shortly after doused the remaining hot spots.

Images were released of the girl from a security camera and were circulated in the media and online. Siko said following multiple phone calls and leads received by the department throughout the day they were able to confirm the identity of the female who will have charges filed against her through the Northumberland County Juvenile Courts.

The fire had been ruled arson by Patrolman Raymond Siko II, who serves as the department's fire investigator.
