A death investigation is underway in Schuylkill County after two people were found dead inside an Ashland home.
Authorities say they were called to a home in the 2000 block of Walnut Street in Ashland around 9:30 p.m. on Monday for a welfare check. That’s when police say they they found the bodies of Karen Kimmel and Donald Erb inside the home.
Ashland police are still investigating, but they say there is no danger to the public and are looking at this as a potential murder/suicide.
The Schuylkill County coroner says autopsies on Kimmel and Erb are scheduled for today and Thursday in Reading.
