Schuylkill County Sheriff’s department will be at the Schuylkill County Fair on Tuesday, August 2 and Saturday, August 6 to register children in the Child I.D. Me Program.
I.D. Me is a child identification program that activates the Amber Alert System. The Schuylkill County Sheriff’s Department captures a digital photo of your child and stores it on the County of Schuylkill computer network.
If your child would become a victim of abduction, the digital photo along with the child’s demographics would be sent to the Pennsylvania State Police for submission to the Code Amber Alert organization provided that the active criteria would apply.
If the criteria are met, the Amber Alert System would be activated.
The I.D. Me is a free community service program provided by the Schuylkill County Sheriff’s Department.
