One of three people wanted by Ashland police for selling bath salts earlier this year was taken into custody and jailed Tuesday.
According to the Republican Herald, controlled purchases of the drug from 33 year old Hannah Valeno, of Ashland, and the two others led to the discovery of about $18,000 in bath salts when a search warrant was executed. During the search, officers and detectives found about 180 grams of bath salts with an approximate street value of $18,000.
Valeno was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $25,000 straight cash bail.
Police Chief Mark O’Hearn said the investigation into the drug distribution is continuing and the arrests of at least two other people are expected to be made in the near future.
