Pottsville police Chief Richard F. Wojciechowsky announced that the two men charged with killing 59 year old John Robert Brock, in Pottsville, last week were also responsible for another robbery and burglary three weeks before.
According to Wojciechowsky, while conducting the investigation into the Aug. 6 death of Brock, investigators learned that suspects 8 year old Joshua M. Lukach and 21 year old Shavinskin Nader Thomas, both of Pottsville, had been involved in a separate crime in the 5th Ward of the City.
The chief said at that time the two forced entry into the home of a 64-year-old man who lived alone and the pair forced him to give them money from his wallet.
While Lukach and Thomas were being interviewed on Friday in connection with the killing of Brock, Wojciechowsky said the two admitted that they were responsible for that robbery.
Additional charges are expected to be filed.
