Jim Thorpe has gotten another distinction from the world of fashion.
Elle Décor, the home edition of the well-known fashion magazine, recently put Jim Thorpe on its list of “40 of the Best Small Town Vacation Spots.”
The distinction comes just after Macy’s held a photo shoot in the borough’s downtown.
The magazine recognized the area for the Old World feel of the downtown, as well as the natural beauty and recreational opportunities.
The list also included destinations such as Corning, New York, located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Wine Region, and Lanesboro, Minnesota, known as the bed-and-breakfast capital of that state.
