The Schuylkill United Way’s 14th annual Stuff the Bus Campaign began July 1 and concluded Sunday.
The annual drive collected monetary and donations of school supplies for youth in Schuylkill County.
Michelle Halabura, director of community relations for Schuylkill United Way, said On Friday, about 30 volunteers came out to help sort supplies that had been collected thru ought the month.
Then, on Monday, more than 50 showed up to help with backpack stuffing.
The backpacks were then distributed to 18 organizations that serve children, including public school districts and United Way partner agencies.
According to Halabura, there were 1,411 bags in all that were distributed for this year’s annual Stuff the Bus Campaign, with the Schuylkill United Way.
