A certified public accountant testified Tuesday, in Schuylkill County Court, that an audit trail shows a Pine Grove woman stole thousands of dollars from her employer.
According to the Republican Herald, State police at Schuylkill Haven allege 51 year old Carrie Aungst stole $26,527.76 in money and gifts from Pine Grove Auto Sales while employed there in 2016 and 2017.
Prosecutors allege that in numerous transactions, she altered invoices to remove notary fees, which she then pocketed.
The trial is scheduled to resume at 9 a.m. today before a jury and Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin.
