Fire crews were called out just before midnight, Friday, to a working structure fire at 3rd and Middle Street Ashland.
When crews first arrived, they found flames shooting from the rear of an apartment building in the 300 Block on Middle Street.
Crews were able to save the front apartments of building. However 2-3 apartments suffered fire damage near the rear of the building. The Red Cross was also on scene to assist fire victims.
There is no word yet on what caused the blaze.
