State Police at Frackville are looking for a man who they say beat a woman in a wooded area of West Mahanoy Township over the weekend.
According to authorities, a 31 year old woman and her 4 year old child were held captive in a wooded area in West Mahanoy Township by 34 year old Christopher Benjamin, formerly of West Mahanoy Township.
Benjamin reportedly beat the woman and threatened her life if she left the woods. The victim managed to reach a road and get help from neighbors and was being treated for serious injuries.
A felony warrant has been issued for Benjamin, who is presumed to be dangerous. Anyone with information on his location should call the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, (570) 874-5300.
