The criminal charges against Democratic state Attorney General Kathleen G. Kane have raised questions about whether the state’s top law enforcer can do her job properly, defend herself in court and perhaps run for re-election next year all at once.
According to the Republican Herald, Kane said she plans to keep doing her job while fighting the charges but hasn’t discussed running for re-election.
Gov. Tom Wolf and state Sen. John Blake, Lackawanna County’s state senator, among others, said Kane should resign.
