Late last Thursday, PennDOT announced they would be closing Route 61 between Ashland and Centralia due to a sink hole opening in the road.
PennDOT reported that the hole opened when a drainage pipe beneath the road collapsed.
Road crews were on site over the weekend and repaired the hole.
The road is now open again but crews will be back this week to repair the drainage pipe.
