Sunday marked the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and several memorial services were held thru ought Schuylkill County.
PA State Sen. David G. Argall and State Rep. Neal P. Goodman were two of the dignitaries that attended and spoke at a 9/11 remembrance service that was held at the Mahanoy Area Alumni Field.
The memorial service was filled with the playing of the national anthem, which was performed by the Mahanoy Area Marching Band and Choir along with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Mahanoy Area High School student Matthew Reed sang a rendition of “America the Beautiful,” in honor of the nearly 3000 victims who lost their lives in the attacks.
