Earthquakes...

A pair of small earthquakes shook several towns in Berks County and beyond, early Wednesday morning.

The first quake, with a magnitude of 1.9, was recorded near Shillington at 3:49 a.m., according to the United States Geological Survey.

About two hours later, a 1.7 magnitude quake was recorded near Flying Hills in Cumru Township at 5:48 a.m.

According to Millersville University, Earthquakes are not uncommon in this part of Pennsylvania. Authorities say there have been no reports of injuries or damage.

Wednesday's earthquakes come nearly 25 years after pair of earthquakes -- one with a magnitude 4.2; the other, 4.6 -- rocked the Sinking Spring area of Berks County on January 16, 1994, causing damage to several structures.
