A man wanted for holding a woman and child captive has been captured. State police said 34 year old Christopher Benjamin was captured Wednesday in the area of Raven Run in West Mahanoy Township.
A felony warrant was issued for Benjamin by Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville, after he allegedly held a 31 year old woman and her 4 year old child captive for several days, in a wooded area, in West Mahanoy Township in August.
Benjamin reportedly beat the woman and threatened the woman's life if she left the woods.
The woman reportedly managed to reach a road and get help from neighbors.
