39-year-old Jonathan Dale Reed, of Pottsville, was jailed after being arrested in connection with an incident early Wednesday morning.
According to the Republican Herald, Pottsville Police Chief Richard F. Wojciechowsky said officers were called to 802 W. Race St. about 12:50 a.m. after Reed allegedly threatened to shoot a 34 year old woman with a semi-automatic rifle.
Upon arrival at the scene, Wojciechowsky said, Pottsville police, along with two state police officers, met Reed as he exited the front door of the home and secured him without incident.
He was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko, Port Carbon, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $25,000 straight cash bail.
