A press release from the Lehigh Valley Health Network, Wednesday, reported that the Network and Schuylkill Health System will announce today a regulatory approval of their proposed merger.
According to the Republican Herald, both had signed a definitive agreement to merge and announced their plans in April.
The release said a new president will also be named.
Marc H. Lory is the interim president and CEO of Schuylkill Health. Lory was appointed by the board of directors of Schuylkill Health in September 2014.
