Spraying to control the high populations of mosquitoes will take place this week in Schuylkill County.
According to Skook News, the Department of Environmental Protection’s West Nile Virus Program announced it will conduct a mosquito control operation to reduce high populations of mosquitoes beginning today in parts of Cressona and Schuylkill Haven.
Residential and recreational areas in the city will be sprayed for adult mosquitoes.
The spraying will begin late in the evening.
