Police arrested a suspect over the weekend in connection to a brutal beating and robbery that took place last week, in Schuylkill County.
State police in Frackville said 23 year old Anthony Romano, of Shenandoah, and an unknown female drove a woman to a remote area, robbed and beat her, then left her there.
Officials said the two then fled by car, leaving the woman bleeding with head wounds.
State police said the woman walked for about two hours until she found a house near Girard Manor and Phineyville roads. Residents there called police and the woman was taken to the hospital for her injuries.
According to police reports, the incident happened between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Shenandoah police found and arrested Romano Saturday. He is being held at Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 straight bail.
