Bridge work to begin...
by News Department on 06/25/15The Public-Private Partnership project to rebuild 558 bridges all across Pennsylvania will get under way the week of July 6th in the Village of Haas in Eldred Township, in Schuylkill County.
Drivers will see the Creek Road Bridge closed where it crosses Mahantango Creek. All Creek Road traffic will be detoured to Taylorsville Mountain Road and Snyder Road. The detour will be in place until late August.
In North Union Township, drivers will see the PA 339/Catawissa Creek Road Bridge closed where it crosses Catawissa Creek with all Catawissa Creek Road traffic being detoured to Red Light Road and Buck Mountain Road.The detour will be in place until early September.
These are the first of three bridges to be replaced in Schuylkill County this year. Another two will be replaced in 2016.
The bridge replacements are part of the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
