Veteran bike ride...
by News Department on 06/25/15Veteran Brian Goodwin is set to make a 60-mile bike ride with two others from Harrisburg to Pine Grove on Oct. 10 to benefit other wounded veterans.
A veteran of the Army Reserves for 13 years, Goodwin was determined to make the bike ride regardless of his recent knee surgery.
The bike ride benefits the Keystone Wounded Warriors, which was started in 2009 by Paul Spurgin, executive director, and an active duty captain in the Marine Corps.
According to www.keystonewarriors.com, Keystone Wounded Warriors is an eastern state-based nonprofit corporation that reaches out to all men and women in the military, but specifically those wounded on or after Sept. 11, 2001.
Those who wish to sponsor Goodwin can call 570-695-2320.
Those who wish to donate to Keystone Wounded Warriors can volunteer at events by contacting them at www.keystonewarriors.com.
Riding along with Goodwin will be his brother, 51 year old Brad Goodwin and his best friend who served in the Army with him, 50 year old Mike Walter.
