D 24 Little League...SPN 14, Frackville 0

Home runs by pitcher Jake Kuperavage and third baseman Morgan Rupert powered the St. Clair-Port Carbon-New Philadelphia (SPN) Little League all stars to a 14-0 win over Frackville Wednesday afternoon at James S. Clark field in New Philadelphia.
In a game heard on AM 1360 WPPA and wpparadio.com,SPN led off the game, and wasted no time getting on the scoreboard.
Shortstop Riley Stanton led off with a walk, moved to 2B on a passed ball, and scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Kuperavage. Second baseman John Holobetz singled, stole 2B, advanced to 3B on a passed ball, and scored on a wild pitch, to make the score 2-0.
SPN scored a run in the second inning, as first baseman David Cook walked, and outfielder Justin McClure wsa hit by a pitch. Stanton then drove Cook home with a single.
In the 3rd, SPN added two more runs as Kuperavage singled, and Rupert stroked a 2-run home run to make it 5-0. Rupert was 3-4 on the day with two singles and the homer.
In the 4th, SPN added 4 more. Stanton walked, stole 2B abd 3B, and scored on an infield hit off the bat of Holobetz. Catcher Ryan Shirey reached base on an infiield single that sent Holobetz to 3B. Kuperavage then launched a 3-run home run, to go with a double and single and his 3-4 day. The score was now 9-0.
In the 5th inning, SPN sewed up the game by scoring 5 more. Outfielders McClure and Danny Marmas reached on infield singles, and Stanton stroked a 2-run  double to make it 11-0. Holobetz drove Stanton in on an infield single, to make it 12-0.
Shirey walked, and Kuperavage drove him in with a double. Rupert singled, to load the bases. Cook singled, and Shirey scored the last run to make it 14-0.
SPN is now 3-1 in pool play, and advances to the next round. Frackville has to play Pine Grove Thursday. The winner will advance.
WPPA and wpparadio.com will carry a District 24 Little League game Thursday. Cressona visits Orwigsburg. First pitch is at 5:30
