Guilty verdict...
by News Department on 06/24/15A Lehigh County jury found 26 year old Anthony Heath, of Allentown, guilty, on Tuesday, of first-degree murder for slaying 35 year old Angela Steigerwalt and burning her corpse.
According to the Republican Herald, the verdict capped a five¬-day trial where Heath acted as his own attorney.
Police say Heath strangled Steigerwalt to death on Jan. 31, 2014, in a fit of rage because she reneged on a plan to go with him to a child custody hearing in Northampton County.
Heath then drove her body to Jim Thorpe and set it ablaze.
Firefighters putting out a brush fire near some vacation homes discovered her body.
