Three people were questioned by Shamokin police after a report of the sound of gunshots in the area of Fifth and Willow streets in the city, Monday afternoon.

Police from several departments were called to the area at approximately 1:25 p.m. after a report of a shot being fired.

Officers took 22 year old Khaalid Muhammad, of Atlas, and his 21 year old sister, Sadiyah Muhammad into custody at the scene, while police had to go into a home in the 300 block of South Fifth Street to take a third person, 21 year old Darryl Parker, of Philadelphia into custody.

All three were questioned, but no charges have been filed at this point. Authorities also recovered a black Chevrolet Tahoe that left the scene, in Sunbury.

Police obtained a search warrant for the vehicle from Magisterial District Judge John Gembic III shortly after 7 p.m. and the investigation into the situation continues.
