by News Department on 07/10/15What witnesses said was a tornado ripped through the Blue Mountain Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School, Tilden Township, about 7:40 p.m. Thursday.
According to the Republican Herald, a call came in at 7:46 p.m. to Hamburg Fire Company about the building collapse, leading the fire department to shut off the electricity.
Hamburg Fire Department deputy fire chief, Arthur J. Miller, said the storm system knocked down power lines as it crossed Mountain Road to the school and stopped before the side of the mountain.
Faculty were inside the building, but there were no injuries reported.
