The state Bureau of Forestry is seeking the public’s help in its investigation of a series of suspicious wildfires in April and May that scorched hundreds of acres in three counties in the northeast section of Pennsylvania.

A $1,000 reward is being offered by the bureau for information leading to arrests and convictions in what investigators have labeled arson in Schuylkill, Luzerne and Carbon counties, approximately 50 in all, burning more than 1,000 acres in the three counties.

Anyone with information on the wildfires can contact bureau Special Investigator Terry Smith at 717-362-1472; terrsmith@pa.gov.
