Six area police departments received checks Thursday from the Schuylkill County District Attorney’s Office to help in their efforts to drive drugs out of Schuylkill County.
According to the Republican Herald, District Attorney Christine Holman distributed nine checks totaling $6,862.63 to the Frackville, Hegins & Mahanoy Townships, Pine Grove, Shenandoah and Schuylkill Haven police departments.
Holman said that her office is able to remit well-earned dollars to the officers and their respective townships or boroughs as a result of an annual stipend from the state Attorney General’s Office.
