A Montgomery County company has paid more than $4 million to buy the Kings Village Shopping Center.
According to the Republican Herald, G. Davis Properties LLC, Lansdale, bought the shopping center, located along Route 901 in Branch and Norwegian townships between Minersville and Pottsville, for $4,214,000 from Kings Village Realty Inc., Minersville.
The sale is the latest of several transactions in the region that have resulted in three shopping centers having new owners and a fourth filing for bankruptcy.
The sale will financially benefit the state, two townships and two school districts. Pennsylvania received $42,140 in transfer taxes as the result of the sale, while Branch and Norwegian townships and Minersville Area and Pottsville Area school districts each received $10,535 in transfer taxes.
