A man who led police in a pursuit that resulted in two police cars colliding was taken into custody on Thursday.
According to Skook News, State Police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred around 3:40pm on Wednesday, in Palo Alto, when a State Police Trooper was in pursuit of a vehicle driven by 42 year old Michael Flickinger, of Port Carbon.
During the pursuit, a State Police vehicle struck the front of a borough police vehicle, then a utility pole. Both the trooper and borough officer were treated and released from an area hospital.
Flickinger fled the but was taken into custody by Pottsville Police on Thursday, arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Ferrier and is locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $10,000 straight cash bail.
