Shenandoah Valley students joined other schools from around the country, for the 2018-2019 school year, to help raise money against childhood cancer.
The Shenandoah Valley Mini-Thon raised money towards Four Diamonds, which partners with the Penn State Children's Hospital, and covers 100 percent of all medical expenses related to cancer care not covered by insurance.
A mini-thon was held Saturday night, with 92 students from 7th through 12th grade participating. In all, throughout the 18-19 school year, students raised $6,796.60.
