Shamokin fire suspicious...

Monday night's fire that started in a condemned house on East Sunbury Street, in Shamokin, where a meth lab was raided last week has been ruled suspicious.

Patrolman Raymond Siko II, who serves as the city's fire investigator, said the fire which started on the first floor at 26 E. Sunbury St. is suspicious and is being actively investigated but the cause has still not determined and there is no damage estimate at this point.

32 year old April Weit had resided in the three-story structure at 26 E. Sunbury St. before it was condemned Friday by Shamokin Code Enforcement Officer Rick Bozza, after a meth lab was discovered inside.

Siko said the 8 p.m. three-alarm blaze damaged four homes, including 26, 32, 24 and 18 E. Sunbury St.
