A series of public hearings have been scheduled in the Pottsville Area School District regarding the charter renewal application submitted by Gillingham Charter School.
According to the Republican Herald, Pottsville Area Superintendent Jeffrey S. Zwiebel said in total, there are eight. And all are being held at the middle school auditorium.
Ellen C. Schurdak, one of the attorneys hired by Pottsville Area to deal with Gillingham’s charter renewal, said, “Counsel for the parties, after consultation with the hearing officer, believed eight days was necessary in light of the number of anticipated witnesses.”
The public hearings will be held at 9:30 a.m. April 18 thru the 21st, the 25th thru 27th and May 3 in the auditorium of the D.H.H. Lengel Middle School.
