Firefighters are still on the scene of a high-rise building that partially collapsed Tuesday.
The former Kaier's Brewery in Mahanoy City started to collapse after a contractor was working on the building.
Firefighters said the building won't be demolished until at least this evening unless it falls down on its own before the crane arrives. Eight families in the area were evacuated as well as a child development center and an adult daycare.
The former Kaier's Brewery has been empty since the 1960s. Mahanoy City Borough recently secured the money to tear it down.
