Three people were charged Tuesday by state police at Frackville in connection with the overdose death of a Tamaqua woman last year.
Trooper Joseph Hall said the charges against 22 year old Kyle Jacob Merenda, of Barnesville; 33 year old Jonathan James Seekins, of Coaldale; and 24 year old Melanie Lynn Kropp, of Mahanoy City were the result of an investigation into incidents that resulted in the death of 23 year old Alexandria Sienkiewicz.
Seekins and Kropp were arraigned, Tuesday, by Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi, Tremont.
Hall said that on April 2, 2016, Sienkiewicz was found deceased in the bedroom of her Tamaqua home.
As a result of the autopsy and drug toxicology tests, county Coroner Dr. David J. Moylan III ruled the manner of death a homicide.
