A man is facing charges after he was arrested for allegedly raping a 13 year old girl in West Mahanoy Township.
According to Magisterial Records, 56 year old Michael S. Catherman, of Frackville, was charged by the Pennsylvania State Police with the crime after it was discovered he had "forced sexual contact" with a 13 year old girl.
The incidents reportedly occurred at varioius times prior to and on April 21, 22 and 26.
Catherman was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge James K. Reiley, Pottsville, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $100,000 straight cash bail.
A preliminary hearing on the charges against Catherman is scheduled for May 10 before Magisterial District Judge Christina E. Hale, Frackville.
