Disciplinary action...

On Thursday, The Pennsylvania Department of State announced that it filed disciplinary actions against 2 licensed or commissioned professionals from Schuylkill County during the month of April.

The PA Board of Cosmetology ordered Victoria Rodriguez, of Cressona, to pay a civil penalty of $1,000 because she was practicing cosmetology without a current and active license.

Mary Beth Strohl, of Pottsville, was also indefinitely suspended by The PA Board of Nursing for no less than three years to be immediately stayed in favor of no less than three years of probation, because she is unable to practice professional nursing with reasonable skill and safety by reason of mental or physical illness or condition or dependence upon alcohol, hallucinogenic or narcotic drugs or other drugs which tend to impair judgment or coordination.

Anyone who suspects unlicensed activity by an individual or facility can file a complaint by calling the BPOA hotline at 1-800-822-2113.
