A man that police say robbed a bank, near Frackville, over the weekend is reportedly in custody.
Authorities say that around 9:00am, Friday, the suspect, later identified as 38 year old Larry Dettery, of Shenandoah, walked into the Miners Bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller handed the suspect an unknown amount of cash, then the suspect fled the scene on foot onto Spruce Street.
A suspicious package was also left behind, prompting the calling of bomb squad, which after investigation was ruled harmless.
Dettery was taken into custody by West Mahanoy Township Police and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison unable to post $75,000 bail.
