40 year old Cecil E. Kutz pleaded guilty and admitted Wednesday to a Schuylkill County judge that he kept three children alone in a North Manheim Township house, including one he had confined in a cage.
According to the Republican Herald, State police at Schuylkill Haven charged Kutz with leaving a newborn, a 1-year-old and a 22-month-old, alone for at least 40 minutes on May 17, 2017, at his residence just outside of Cressona.
Authorities reported the 22-month-old child was in a cage made of plywood and lattice that was less than 3 feet high.
Judge John E. Domalakes accepted Kutz’s plea and scheduled Kutz’s sentencing for Aug. 28.
