A Tamaqua woman is facing charges after she struggled with law enforcement during two warrant services in Schuylkill County.
Authorities said 45 year old Bernadette Moulthrop deployed a fire extinguisher inside a moving police vehicle May 10 during one of the encounters, obstructing a Coaldale police officer’s vision as he drove her to jail. Then, on June 23, law enforcement pepper sprayed her when she allegedly attacked a state constable serving a warrant on her in a Tamaqua apartment.
Moulthrop was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Stephen J. Bayer, Tamaqua, and committed to Schuylkill County prison, unable to post $250,000 bail.
