Jesse Olivieri, Ashland, is facing new charges relating to the May 20 incident at the White House, when he was shot by a Secret Service officer, while carrying a handgun after he refused to stop entering a security gate.
According to information submitted by U.S. Attorney Channing P. Phillips, the federal government filed a felony charge, on Tuesday, of impeding or resisting certain officers or employees with a dangerous weapon.
However, Olivieri may not be incarcerated much longer, as there was a plea agreement made after the most recent charges were filed.
Olivieri, a 2003 North Schuylkill High School graduate, intends to plead guilty to that charge, according to a referral for presentence investigation report filed Thursday by the Federal Public Defenders office. A date has not yet been set for the plea hearing.
