Residents in the 467 exchange, including Ryan, Delano, and parts of Rush Townships were notified by the Schuylkill County 911 Center, Monday, that 911 land line service was not working properly.
No word on what caused the landline calls to fail, but authorities announced later Monday afternoon that the issue was fixed.
However, anyone needing help that may still not be able to call from a landline should call call (570) 668-6100, (570) 628-3792 or (570) 462-1991 by landline or 911 via cell phone.
